High blood pressure, or hypertension, comes from blood pushing too hard against your blood vessels. If you have high blood pressure, you are not alone. In fact, as many as 65 million Americans have some form of high blood pressure.† That’s roughly 1 out of every 3 Americans.
Angina is a pain or discomfort that keeps coming back when part of your heart does not get enough blood. Angina feels like a pressing or squeezing pain, usually in your chest under the breastbone. Sometimes you can feel it in your shoulders, arms, neck, jaws, or back. Unlike high blood pressure, angina is a symptom. It is not a condition.
Though high blood pressure and angina are different, both can be treated with NORVASC® (amlodipine besylate).
