Who Should Not Take NORVASC?
Amlodipine besylate is the active ingredient in NORVASC. People who are allergic to amlodipine besylate or to its active ingredients should not take this drug. Your healthcare provider can tell you if NORVASC is right for you.

In clinical trials, the most common side effects for NORVASC versus placebo were:

  • Feet or ankle swelling
  • Tiredness
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
